Faithe Wempen, M.A., is an A+ Certified hardware guru, Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor, and software consultant with over 70 computer books to her credit. When she is not writing, she teaches Microsoft Office classes in the Computer Technology department at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI), does private computer training and support consulting, and is the business manager of Sycamore Knoll Bed and Breakfast in Noblesville, Indiana (www.sycamoreknoll.com). Faithe is a contributing editor at CertCities.com, and a frequent contributor to CertCities.com, TechProGuild.com, and several magazines. She teaches online classes for the Hewlett-Packard Learning Center, and serves on the advisory board for the Computer Technician program at Training, Inc. in Indianapolis.

Read the Bible!

This easy read, easy reference format is awesome. I've been a PowerPoint power user for eight years. This is THE BEST book on PowerPoint I have ever used. I highly recommend it.

Letdown CD

The book is quite detailed but everybody can put in a few shareware programs and templates on a CD these days. This CD is a complete letdown. I wish they remove the CD and reduce the cost of this book.

Content without Soul

This book has so much content that if you wanted to write an exam on PowerPoint, you could just remember the sentences in this book. What the book doesn't do is tell you why you would want to do things in the way Wempen explains. In a phrase, the book has no soul. It's just a compilation of what PowerPoint's menus can do in so much detail that it hurts.
