No cabe duda que la politica tanto del gobierno y sobretodo de la Iglesia es una podredumbre este es el testimonio vivo de lo que siempre he creido y leido. Por otro lado el padre Charlie yo lo conoc� y he de confesar que en un principio a mi se me hizo un gringo pedante, pero a traves del tiempo y de haberlo conocido a el y su obra, no tengo mas que respetos para el, yo indirectamente lo conoc� por mi trabajo y me pareci� que lo que le hicieron al padre fue una canallada, y celebro que ya haya podido superar ese episodio tan feo que le hicieron pasar. SOBRE LA NOVELA (historica) no podia estar mejor narrada , es adictiva se las recomiendo

Un amigo me recomend� que leyera este libro y me pareci� super interesante. Es impresionante ver el ejemplo de un alma que se preocupa por los mas necesitados, un verdadero hombre de Dios. No puedo creer como una persona le ha puesto una estrella, no dejen que el negativisimo los confunda, les SUPER recomiendo este libro. Me encanta el titulo del libro "Y Era de Noche" ya que hace referencia al pasaje del evangelio en el que Judas traiciono a Cristo (Witty). Life changing book!!

I loved to know Warner and I got all my suspicions right about Adam.

I love to have this two short stories in one book!

Destroy me:

Well, well, I liked knowing Warner. To see in his soul and the world through his eyes.

Fav moment:
And I've fallen.

So hard.

I've hit the ground. Gone right through it. Never in my life have I felt this. Nothing like this. I've felt shame and cowardice, weakness and strength. I've known terror and indifference, self-hate and general disgust. I've seen things that cannot be unseen.

And yet I've known nothing like this terrible, horrible, paralyzing feeling. I feel crippled. Desperate and out of control. And it keeps getting worse. Every day I feel sick. Empty and somehow aching.

Love is a heartless bastard.

Oh well... Adam head is nothing like Aaron, sorry to compare.

When I thought James was dead. I was crying and then he was standing there! God!
And at the end when Kenji thanks Juliette is dead... Poor Kenji, I like him a lot, and he was crying! He was crying! He does not show emotion and he was crying!!!

More Warner Please!!!

I have to be honest, when I first read Shatter Me, I didn't like it much. The main character Juliette didn't connect with me and the two boys in the book also seemed bland. Out of the two boys, Warner was the more intriguing one, but he did some things that begged for more explanation. And boy...did it get explained in this novella. In Destroy Me, the first half of this bind up, we see everything through Warner's eyes. The story picks up during an integral part of Shatter Me, and it walks us through Warner's thoughts and feelings during parts of Shatter Me. The writing style by Ms. Mafi was also more concise, clearer than Shatter Me. And she's one of the few authors when writing in a male tone, can actually sound male. Warner surprised me in every way and I think anyone reading this series need to read Destroy Me.

Fracture Me also surprised me a little bit. I thought Adam's voice was a little bland...blander than he appeared in the regular books. He acted a little out of character for me but his part of the bind up made me want to hear more from him as well.

It's March and I've already devoured more than 50 books. It takes a special story to keep me there days, weeks or months after I read them. The Shatter Me series continues to occupy my mind. I have never experienced writing like this, ever. It was poetic, musical, smooth and caressing. I loved everything about this book and all the others. The story, the characters, the writing and the feelings I experienced while reading

LIFE Changing

I had this book for over a year but I didn't read it until now. I was ready to learn and apply to my life. The story of the beggar and the baker was my biggest nugget, and discovered why I was experiencing the same thing over and over again. Judgement, was my downfall and now it has become my gift every time I think about judging. When the student is ready the teacher will appear. The teacher was truly here for me.

Not Good

Bladesinger features a Half-Elven outcast getting pointlessly involved in an internal struggle in the land of Rashemen. The book has two distinct parts, the Rashemen part (75% of the book ) taking place in year 1372 DR, and five flashback chapters dealing with main character's past, taking place earlier.

The protagonists in this book are fairly interesting, especially the main character Taen the Bladesinger. Actually, those five flashback chapters are the only thing I enjoyed in this book. It is an interesting but tragic story of his past. The author does a decent job of describing the land of Rashemen, and that is about it on the good side.

The plot is totally pointless, and the mentioned bladesinger acts as a sidekick for the most of the book. The plot has all elements of pulp fantasy: lots of pointless fighting, a silly romance, weak attempts of comic relief, villains that are evil just for the sake of it, and of course, a clich� ending. What this book does not contain, on the other hand, is a single plot twist, believe it or not. Actually, for the most of the book, I had a feeling of reading a transcript of someone's poorly written D&D dungeon-crawling session. And even the traditionally good WotC editing has disappeared from this book, leaving a number of plot inconsistencies and logical errors.

I still can't believe that this book is written by a single person. The difference between terrible Rashemen chapters and interesting history chapters is enormous. Unfortunately, the good chapters take only about a quarter of this novel.

If not for the main character and his history, this would have been a clear one star book. As it is, it barely gets two stars. Enjoy!

Very Disappointing Realms novel

Bladesinger is the fourth book in Fighters series of stand alone novels. The other three are Master of Chains by Jess Lebow, Ghostwalker by Erik Scott de Bie, and Son of Thunder byMurray J.D. Leeder. The Fighters series, and the other stand alone series, are an attempt to get new authors into the Forgotten Realms. With the Fighters series it has been done to mixed results. One book clearly stood out above the others, that being Ghostwalker. Master of Chains was a decent book and I think worth reading. Then comes Bladesinger, followed by Son of Thunder which I did not like at all.

There are some redeeming points to Bladesinger. The plot moves along at a decent pace and the author style lends itself to easy reading. Not in terms of his actual words, but the flow of this book seemed easy for me. However, there were at least two areas that dragged this book down considerably.

The plot was very superficial and clich� driven. I often felt like this book had been read countless times before. There was really nothing new or exciting, it was all a repeat. Also, the author attempted to add bits of history to one of the main characters Taen, but that only served to disjoint the present story. In fact, the almost seemed to be more about this characters history than the actual quest they were on. If you take out the history pieces this story could have easily been a short story in an anthology somewhere down the line. It just didn't work for what the author was trying to do. Taen's history was simply too much and too forced to work right. The plot is the classic get a quest by some big power that is dying, go on the quest, almost die on the way, come to the end of the quest, have a sad ending for one member. There seemed to be a lot of room where the author could have added his own personal touches, but I just didn't come away feeling that for this book. A very sub-par plot line here.

The characters all have potential to be good characters, yet quite honestly I didn't care about them. The only character I cared about was Roberc the Halfling and his dog Cavan. Other than that it felt like the characters were there for the story, not the characters driving the story by their choices and actions. It honesly felt like the plot was a car and the characters were being dragged behind the car with no influence on where they were going.. Also, at the start of the book it seems the characters are not all powerful, but throughout the book they suddenly have all these powers that help them along the way. There was little fleshing out of the characters, besides Taen (which was too much). The whole half-elf exile/disgraced thing has been done to death, someone needs to find something new. The characters are just bland in this novel.

Overall as I said above, this is a sub-par Forgotten Realms book, and quite honestly I am surprised it was published with the lack of substance that it has. Ghostwalker is by far and away the best of this bunch. I doubt I would recommend this book to anyone, other than someone trying to read every Forgotten Realms book ever made. There are just so many other books out there, find something better.

A good story..looking for more Taen

I liked it. The story had a clear objective from the beginning, which I love in a Realms book. I have read many of the Realms books and some of them just felt like i was being dragged along until they actually got to the actual plotline of the book.

This one was suprisingly refreshing in the fact that it was very direct in it's plotlines. As far a writing mechanics go, it was right on par with most of the other Realms novels that I have read. Individual characters, tho, lacked a bit. I was highly amused with the halfling (Roberc), and the half-elf main character (Taen) was quite deep (in a brooding sort of way), but I failed to connect with the others on more than a "yay they kick butt in combat" level. Overall, tho, I would say that the book is "greater than the sum of it's parts". It's a solid story that will keep you turning the pages. I finished it in 2 days (about 4.5 hours of total reading time) and despite my critisisms, that's saying something. thanks for reading.

This easy read, easy reference format is awesome. I've been a PowerPoint power user for eight years. This is THE BEST book on PowerPoint I have ever used. I highly recommend it.

The book is quite detailed but everybody can put in a few shareware programs and templates on a CD these days. This CD is a complete letdown. I wish they remove the CD and reduce the cost of this book.

Content without Soul

This book has so much content that if you wanted to write an exam on PowerPoint, you could just remember the sentences in this book. What the book doesn't do is tell you why you would want to do things in the way Wempen explains. In a phrase, the book has no soul. It's just a compilation of what PowerPoint's menus can do in so much detail that it hurts.
