Highly Recommended

I routinely perform full-mouth exodontia as well as pre-prosthetic surgery (all in one appointment), and therefore excellent knowledge in the subject matter of this manual is essential.
Overall, this is an excellent refresher or even a complete manual on local anesthesia. For example, with this book I increased my efficacy in the Gow-Gates technique. The only negative per this book is the recommendation for the exact anesthetic for each system. For example, with the Gow-Gates, the nerve as well as blood vessels are in very close proximity, and so even with multiple aspirations as per the recommendations of this book, the author failed to mention the anesthetic should not contain epinephrine.

Decent book.

I found this book to be good, however it could be better. Some chapters are well written and others I feel like they're copied and pasted. I would have to sit and reread certain sections for minutes to understand what is written and the author keeps referring back to previous editions, making it all the more difficult at times to grasp. It would also be beneficial if the book were to come with an interactive website and if the cd was sold with it. Instead, you have to pay extra for it and I don't think that's right. It isn't a bad book, just one that'll take you some time getting used to.

Great book for LA

Not all that interesting- it is a textbook, after all. It is well organized and as easy to read as any text could be. I was required to read it in its entirety before my class, which I did, and felt well prepared once I got to my class lecture day.
