This new module lives entirely within Dynamics GP itself, thereby removing the dependency on SharePoint; this has the dual benefit of making Workflow 2.0 easy to setup, configure workflow processes and maintain on an ongoing basis. This book introduces the concepts of workflow and moves onto Workflow 2.0. It covers the creation of both simple and complex document based workflow processes, a non-document based workflow, how users interact with the workflow process, including email notifications and email actions, before wrapping up with a step-by-step install and verification of the Web Services for Microsoft Dynamics GP.

About the Author
Ian Grieve is a Microsoft� Most Valuable Professional for Microsoft Dynamics GP and is also a certified Dynamics CRM consultant specializing in the delivery of Microsoft Dynamics GP and CRM projects. He is a senior consultant at Perfect Image Ltd., a Microsoft Partner and VAR in the North East of England. Ian has worked with Microsoft Dynamics GP since 2003 and, over the years since then, has dealt with all aspects of the product life-cycle from presales, to implementation, to technical and functional training, to post go-live support and subsequent upgrades and process reviews. Alongside his work with Microsoft Dynamics GP, he has fulfilled a similar role, since joining Perfect Image, dealing with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, with especial emphasis on project delivery and the training of end users on the management of sales, marketing, and service. Ian has done a terrific job with this book on setting up and using workflow 2.0 in Dynamics GP. So many web searches on GP Workflow turn up info on the old version. Ian's book fill an important role in providing useful information about GP's new workflow.

Required reading for anyone implementing Workflow 2.0 in GP

This book covers all aspects of installation, setup, maintenance and use of Workflow 2.0 for Microsoft Dynamics GP - including a couple of undocumented prerequisites. The examples Mr. Grieve uses along with the screenshots he provides made it easy to setup and use workflow 2.0 in GP. This book is a great reference tool - I've already ordered 3 more copies for our office!
