I had the great honor to receive an early copy of Stan's Waltham ...

I had the great honor to receive an early copy of Stan's Waltham Trench Watches of the Great War.
Following hard on the heals of his first outstanding book "Elgin Trench Watches of the Great War" this 2nd book had a lot to live up to.
But for certain I was not disappointed, Stan once again has done exceptional research. This Waltham book will go down as the "revelation" on Depollier. Many "myths and speculation" are finally put to rest. And if that is not exciting enough, Czubernat has uncovered and printed in full the small booklet written by Charles L. Depollier in 1917 called “The Story of The Watch in the Trenches”. Chapters 4, 5, 8 and 12 also brought a wealth of new research and information. It is an “awesome” read, packed full of newly researched discoveries – just as a new book on horology should.
This is a serious book for any Horologist or collector of early vintage watches, the photos are also of the highest quality
I highly recommend the purchase of this book and of course the Elgin book, no information is duplicated, both books are recommended in their own right,

Stan the trench watch man.

Received my copy before Christmas as advertised, fast shipping. I read his first book about elgin trench watches earlier this year and I was very impressed. I heard that he was writing a second book about trench watches several months ago and I did not think he would be able to top his first book. Boy, was I wrong. His second book is even better than his first. How he was able to find all of these newly discovered trench watch models is beyond me, so many different case and dial styles are listed. The pictures and descriptions for each watch are top shelf. I have a few of the waltham trench watch models discussed in this book, I learned so much about my own collection that I never knew before. The amount of overall detail that he put into this book is outstanding. He makes the data very easy to understand. I now know which waltham trench watches I want to add to my collection. Stan the trench watch man.

I was lucky enough to read his first book: Elgin Trench Watches of the Great War, and I wouldn't miss his second. If you are a hard-core watch collector, a Military buff or just getting into collecting watches and need a place to find information; Stan's books are a Great place to get the knowledge you need to build a valuable & enjoyable collection. His style of writing makes it easy to understand and that there many details to consider when collecting. Knowledge based, not just facts & figures but, tons of beautiful color pictures with essential details that gives any reader the confidence to buy, sell and trade with confidence. No Military collection would be complete without BOTH of Stan's Books. Smartly organized and historically accurate information, they are fast becoming the "GO-TO" reference books on WW1 Trench Watches.
