About the Author
Anna Kashina grew up in Russia and moved to the United States in 1994 after receiving her Ph.D. in cell biology from the Russian Academy of Sciences. She works as a biomedical researcher and combines career in science with her passion for writing. Anna's interests in ballroom dancing, world mythologies and folklore feed her high-level interest in martial arts of the Majat warriors. She lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Yaay, Book 2 is out, and great!

An action-packed romantic epic.
I enjoyed book 1 in the series, and I loved book 2 even more. It is a complete stand-alone, but it also seamlessly blends with the story from "Blades of the Old Empire", and adds to it. I loved the action, so intense that it is impossible to stop reading. I also enjoyed the romance, more physical than in book 1, and also much more gripping. To me, all the romantic interests and relationships in this book finally fell into place. The characters and their interactions evolved so much throughout the story.
Like book 1, the story here ends with all the major plot lines resolved, but leaves a thread that would hopefully be picked up in the next installment in this exciting series. Highly recommended!

Well this was the second book and was actually just as good as the first one. This does not usually happens. The book took a turn not expected. The real story was about Mai and Kara and their relationship. Ready for the third book. There is so much story left untold.
