It has also become apparent that the quality of the technical literature describing these advances has not kept pace with that of the advances themselves in many instances. A particular glaring example of this has been in the field of directional drilling where a large literature gap has existed for many years. I am delighted to see this gap now filled with the present volume by my friend Tom Inglis. Indeed it is only after reading his comprehensive book that I realise the extent of my own ignorance of the latest techniques of directional drilling and how desirable it was to have an authoritative text on the subject. I feel sure that this volume will be welcomed by the industry and warmly recommend it to all who are in any way involved and interested in the fascinating world of drilling.

This was quite an eye-opener!

This was very thorough on how to protect and free yourself from demonic bondage. However, I would have liked more clear distinction between the gifts of the Holy Spirit and how they work in relation to what is demonic. There is some very unclear, hit-and-miss comments made about the gifts of the Spirit that only confuse rather than shed light on the issue. Otherwise, it really helps you see what is unsafe for anyone to dabble in, not just Christians.

Having read this book as a senior in High School, I wanted to revisit it in the light of subsequent study and experience. It had a profound influence on me then as had many others from the 60's and 70's. Although MANY authors have seemed to fall into various areas in later years, this should not discourage us from finding nuggets of truth in their earlier research and experience. ...there but for the grace of God...May we continue to lift up all the teachers and preachers in prayer that they would have wisdom, discernment and protection from deception!

Love this book, nice large photos, beautifully made. I would love to know when these photos were taken. It's a very erotic, very sexy, very artistic approach to the human form, both male and female. About the Author
Sheung-Tak Cheng is Chair Professor and Head of the Department of Psychological Studies, Hong Kong Institute of Education. He has published over 70 articles in psychology and gerontology, and was asked to write reviews on international aging issues for the United Nations. He serves on the editorial board of Psychology and Aging. He is currently the Principal Investigator of three competitive grants funded by the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong. His most recent research is focused on the stress and burden of dementia caregivers and ways to help them. He has also done extensive work on the intergenerational transfer of social capital, in terms of how the interactions of older and younger people benefit each other and in terms of younger persons’ support to older persons when the latter become dependent. Besides, he is recognized for his work to improve the quality of life of nursing home residents. He is Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science and recipient of the Outstanding International Psychologist Award from the American Psychological Association (Division 52) for his work on international aging.

Silent Tears was a book I could not put down. You truly got a sense of the author's perspective and how her continued growth in the Lord got her through this emotional journey. I think it is an eye opener for the day and age we live in and hopefully this book will continue to bring awareness of a child's pain that may not necessarily be revealed on the outside. This testimony further confirms that our God is an awesome and the only God!

A chilling must read of how a young lady defied the odds of failure and abuse.

I could not put this book down. It's amazing how the author overcame so many silent struggles as a child and used them as a tool to succeed. A couragious woman is how I describe her. What make her story even great were her actions following her struggles. See, many people would use their past to justify their negative actions and continue life with guilt while blaming themselves and others for their problems.
Many of us look for a handout rather than working toward success. I commend Ms. Clark for her courage in telling her story. She did not allow those obstacles to define her. Her story can change the lives of so many people out there (mothers, fathers, children and young women).
I went to elementary and high school with Ms. Clark and always admired her. She was a very quiet, but a smart kid.I never questioned whether she would be successful, but I never imagined hearing her story as we have in "Silent Tears", Inside the Soul of an Abused Child.
During those years, I wondered how proud her parents must have been and the support system she must have had. This story is A MUST TELL because everything is not what it seems. Her story can help those who may face similar situations and inform other's of signs that can help save the lives of that quiet silent child. We can all learn from her story.

Smart.Tough.Real.Optimistic.Noteworthy.GOD.

These are just a few words to define how STRONG the author is.

God is good. So is this book!

A real story of a young girl having to grow up too fast. A young girl around too much drama & neglect. A young girl almost ready to break down. She searched upon the Lord and was humbled. This is a story that I would share with my own young teen children to teach the strength of God has to help one overcome some of the worst circumstances. The faith the author has is beautiful. The optimism she has for life coming from such a tough past is an exceptional proof of her courage. She has turned her wounds into wisdom. I thank her for this. This author is a noteworthy woman. Knowledge is the key to success. We cannot change the world unless the world knows what needs to be changed.

I ordered this book one day, read it in one hour, was inspired for my whole life. I highly recommend this book. It is a book that you can share & discuss.
I felt empowered by the strength of this young girls stepping stones in life to reach a feeling of fullness of herself. Without God, this is was not possible.
